If you are like many small business owners, you try to do everything yourself.  This is not always a good thing.  Does this sound familiar?  Spending 6 hours on trying to set up a new printer on an network.  Or trying to use the "easy" mail merge option in Microsoft word.

For the last two years I have used a service called experts exchange.  http://www.experts-exchange.com/  Basically it is made up of hundreds maybe even thousands of computer gurus in specific IT areas.  You can post a question, relate the question to a specific zone or area of expertise, ie hardware, software, installations, Microsoft, etc. and in a few minutes you have your answer.

Now I have to admit, I dabble in programing by creating various projects usually to extract data from different files.  Even though I identify myself as a "newbie" the answers sometimes seem to be in foreign language "computerese".  I am sure that a proficient programmer would understand exactly what the expert is saying.  I respectfully comment "Isn't there an easier way to do this".  Then, normally I receive the answer in language my little mind can understand.

The cost for this service is $10/month.  To me it is well worth it.
